Needwood Education - helping young lives flourish
Over the past 13 years, we have been sharing the joy of hen keeping with schools across England. Over that time, we have added to the services that we offer, including Chicken Clubs, day visits with the animals, chick cuddle sessions, GCSE sessions, and our very popular Positive Ponies visits.
We have also hosted other alternative provision providers here at Hens HQ, and for 2024, we are now the northern hub for The Horse Course Equine Intervention Courses. We have decided to take the plunge and offer our own alternative provision here at Hens HQ.
Alternative Education Provision
Our focus at Needwood Education is to provide an exceptional experience at our location deep in the National Forest. Our Farm offers a range of open spaces and woodland, along with our on-site animals, to allow young people to connect with the environment, animals, and the world around them.
We offer bespoke sessions for small groups or one-to-one sessions created to encourage young people to reach their potential socially and academically.
By integrating nature and animals with practical skills, we offer a unique and rewarding educational experience, particularly for young people who might find it challenging to learn in a classroom and school environment.
